Roadtrip

Almost everybody likes to travel. Everybody likes to see new places, to discover something awesome, to go on an adventure,… But not everybody likes to do the same thing. Some people like to go on a citytrip, other people like to hike in the woods, and then you have these really adventures people who like to go rafting or climb mountains and other crazy, not always safe things. What I like to do as a college student is to go on a road trip with some friends. When I go on road trips I don’t want to be in the car all the time so me and my friends usually get out and explore the area. We usually walk around, hike a little, explore a little and then we get back in the car and ride a little further.

Because I go on road trips very often I have some tips for you:

– Pick out some nice friends, like the good friends. Not the kind of friends that are funny and nice at first but then you start  hating them at the end of the evening. Your folks are really important, so choose wisely.

– Know which direction you’re heading. You don’t want to start discussing where you want to go when you just left. It’s doesn’t have to be a specific direction. Just know if you want to go north, east, south or west.

– Know your duration. If you’re a college student like me you need to know when you got to return. I usually leave on fridays and return sunday afternoon because I have classes on monday.

– Pack your bed. If you go on a road trip and you have a very large pickup truck there’s a possibility to sleep inside it but i usually take a tent and a sleeping-bag. Because when I’m on a road trip I want to be surrounded by nature. If you’ll sleep in your truck don’t forget to take blankets ‘cuz it might get cold at night.

– Have a budget. It’s always better to set a budget before you leave. I usually only spend money on food and drinks because I like to pack light so that means just the tent and sleeping-bag. But you might be one of the people who like to stay at a motel or go out and party all night.

Be sure to check your car before you leave, put the radio a little higher and head out and enjoy the drive!
