This review is from: The Fine Life Ideal Gift Bottom Dispensing Loose Leaf Tea Infuser and Coffee Brewer 16oz
This bottom dispensing tea infuser from Fine Life is awesome! I was having a bad day yesterday, one of those bone chilling days when you can’t get warm and just a blah day and when I have one of those, I want tea. My mom used to make me tea, forever ago, on those days.
When my daughter was small, I used to tell her that tea was her Medice (what she called medicine) and that if she drank it down, it would make it all better. What it did was make her LOVE tea and that was not a bad thing either. She in turn began the same tradition with her daughter and her daughter is 16 now and when I went in the kitchen yesterday, her daughter was making tea because she said she was not having a good day and she is 16 now so I am sure it will be handed down again when she has children.
We have tried all kinds of tea accessories, stainless steel tea balls, like ewww, your tea gets stuck and then you have to dig it out with your hand and pull it out of the little holes. Plus you always get tea pieces in your cup. We have tried the cutesy tea infusers, what can I say, they are cute, nothing else. We now have Keurig teas to go from your Keurig machine into your cup. Have you tasted these? Oh my goodness, can we say strong and bitter?
So getting back to this infuser, nothing has ever been easier. You sit the infuser right on top of the green coaster that came with the infuser. You open the green lid, you use the teaspoon that came with the infuser and you spoon out 1-2 teaspoons and throw it right inside the infuser, (I used the orange spice made by The Fine Life that I got at the same time as the infuser) then you pour your cup full of boiling water on top of the tea, close the lid and wait. You will see the tea go from clear water to the tea darkness of your choice. Now, lift the infuser off the coaster and put it on your cup. There is a clear plastic ring that came with the infuser that you can use to be sure that it will all go into your cup, just be sure that the ring that sticks up is upwards and the ring is on top of your cup. Now, sit your infuser down on top of the ring and that will release the bottom dripper so that it all goes into your cup. The only thing that will stay in the infuser is the loose tea. Now, sit back and enjoy your tea. For another cup, repeat. It is really that simple.
To clean your infuser, run it under the faucet and pour it and the tea down the drain (if you have a garbage disposal), otherwise you can wipe the loose leaf tea out with a paper towel. I will be enjoying this infuser for years to come and I am recommending it to everyone!!
