You can also make coffee with this thing! I find it’s similar to a French press, but not as messy to clean up after. It’s great for when you just want one cup. I use about 2 TBSP of coffee and then fill the infuser almost to the top with not-quite-boiling water and let it brew for about 3 minutes.
Worth noting: the infuser is probably smaller than you’re anticipating. The tea leaves (or coffee grounds) will soak up liquid, too. Filled nearly to the brim, it won’t produce quite enough tea or coffee to fill a tall travel mug. The description says that it can brew up to 2 servings at once, but that would be only if you were using small teacups. I’d guess that it brews somewhere between 10-12 oz at a crack depending on how much liquid the tea or coffee absorbs. This hasn’t been a problem for me, but I did underfill the infuser the first couple of times I used it and ended up with only half a mug of tea, so if you like big mugs (and you cannot lie) … fill ‘er up!
